Brand refresh for the seventh season of Silo Park activity

Since the start of 2014, I have been the go-to graphic designer for each season of programmed summer activities at Silo Park.
For the current season of Silo Park, a brand refresh was undertaken to unite a more-diverse offering than ever before. Maintaining the original logo, the rest of the brand was redeveloped, centred around a new illustration of the area.
Outputs for the brand refresh included a seasonal refresh of the original Silo Park visual system, a brand new website, new collateral templates, onsite signage, print and social media content, and a range of miscellaneous visuals for new events and initiatives throughout the season.
Branding and collateral for the inaugural Wondergarden music festival, held at Silo Park on December 31st, 2016.

The wondergarden team needed visuals that were bright and colourful—with hints of psychedelia, but remaining family friendly.
Outputs produced included lockup, festival posters, collateral for social media, maps and timetables, a squarespace website, signage and festival handouts.
Illustrated and hand-lettered event branding

The branding for the 2016 Great Auckland Bike Market needed to have
a low-fi quality to emphasise the grass-roots nature of the event.
The aim was to play on the charm of DIY marketing, to create a look and feel that would seem like it had been cheaply produced and circulated, while remaining visually appealing. The final solution was a simple black and white lockup which incorporated rough, hand-drawn lettering and illustration.
Outputs included posters, flyers, social media collateral and a range of hand-lettered event signage.
Illustration and branding for the inaugural Ice Cream Sundae.
Auckland's first ever Ice Cream market, Ice Cream Sundae boasted a lineup of 15 of New Zealand's best frozen treat vendors. The event attracted approximately 10,000 visitors throughout the afternoon.
Outputs included web / social media collateral and onsite signage.
Trading Cards for the 2017 Paper Assassins exhibition, Atomic Forest. Featuring 30 original, collectable characters, cards were randomly packaged into over 50 booster packs of ten cards each.
All packs came with a set of game rules.
Branding and collateral for the 2017 Panmure Basin Fun Day.

In 2017 The Panmure Business association decided to refresh the branding for their annual Panmure Basin Fun Day, which had over the years become a favourite event for local families. In keeping with the pirate theme of the event, we gave the event a bold new look—complete with hand lettered lockup and illustrated pirate map graphics.
Outputs included logo/lockup, posters, flyers, social media collateral, and event wayfinding and signage.
Branding and collateral for the Paperback Assassins Exhibition—part of Auckland Art Week 2016.
Client: Paper Assassins Collective
The Paper Assassins illustration collective needed branding for their Paperback Assassins exhibition. The final brand was designed to be eye-catching and hand drawn, reflecting the styles of the illustrators.
Outputs included social media and web collateral and posters.
Branding and collateral for Baker and Bloom, a weekly market of fabulous flowers and blissful baked goods.
Client: Parnell Business Association
Project managed by Fresh Concept.
The Baker and bloom logo needed to appeal to a young, female skewed audience, without being overly feminine. Several lettering styles were trialled before the final style was chosen. The final lettering was developed by hand and tidied and vectorised in Illustrator.
Outputs included lockup, branding, social media collateral, plant themed signage, web assets and vendor info packs.

A set of illustrated and hand-lettered assets for the ladies' clothes swap event, including a run of riso-printed flyers and posters, as well as social media and online collateral.
Lettering and Illustration for Taylor Hall's fiendish one man show, Beast.
Client: Taylor Hall
Taylor Hall commissioned bespoke collateral for his one man play, which was part of the 2015 Auckland Fringe Festival. The solution was a beastly illustrated logotype, designed to reflect the surreal and bizarre performance.
Outputs were posters and online collateral.
Hand-lettered, flourished glyphs for the 36 Days of Type project.
Four the fourth annual 36 Days of Type project, I produced a set of 36 flourished characters—one shared via Instagram each day for the duration of the project.
